Waltham Abbey Classic Car Show 2010

This Classic Vehicle Show will provide a two day display of Veteran, Vintage and Classic cars, Commercial and Military Vehicles, Caravans and Motorcycles. 

Day One    Saturday 7th. August.
Join the coach as we head south to visit Hatfield House and Gardens which was built by Robert Cecil, first Earl of Salisbury and Chief Minister to King James 1 st from 1607 to 1611. There is a marvellous collection of pictures, furnishings and historic armour on display. The Estate has been in the hands of the Cecil family for 400 years, one of England’s foremost political families. The Royal Palace of Hatfield ( c 1485) in the West Garden is where Elizabeth 1 spent most of her childhood. In the Park, an oak tree marks the place where the young Princess Elizabeth first heard of her accession to the throne. The Garden at Hatfield House dates from the early 17th. Century when Robert Cecil employed John Tradescant the Elder to collect plants for his new home. The west garden includes a scented garden, herb garden and knot garden.

 Day Two.    Sunday 8th. August
After a leisurely breakfast we checkout of the hotel and take the short drive to the Royal Gunpowder Mills to see the annual Classic Vehicle Show ( Entry Included) There are also many other attractions to visit at the Gunpowder Mills.
