Congratulations must be offered to Stuart, Nigel and all the other organisers and helpers for putting on such a marvellous event sponsored by Longstone Tyres & CAB Executive Travel which was very well attended by the public and exhibitors alike.
This annual show is organised by the St Georges Doncaster Rotary Club & the Traditional Car Club (TCCD) held at the College for the Deaf on Leger Way, Doncaster.
More attractions than in previous years led to a very successful event. As well as the cars & bikes, there were commercials from the South Yorkshire Transport Museum, The Bentley Line Dancers, characters from Star Wars and 'Charlie Chaplin', the New Orleans Strollers Jazz Band and a display from the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum Aeroventure. The day was finalised by a flypast of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Douglas Dakota DC3 at around 4.15pm.
The TCCD turned out in force with over 40 members cars on show bringing the total amount of vehicles to around 250! It is also appropriate to thank the various clubs who attended on the day. These included, The Jaguar Enthusiasts Club South Yorkshire Region, The Triumph Sports Six Club. The Triumph 2000/2500/2.5 Register, The Sunbeam, Talbot, Alpine Register, 'Its A Mini Thing', Notts MG Owners Club, MG Owners Club-Derby Area, The Independant Porsche Enthusiasts Club, The Conisbrough & District Modellers Association and The Doncaster & District Motor Cycle Club.
